🤔 Would Rather v Prefer? What’s the difference?
me who thought fork was fok like folk my gawd
And you may be an instructor but you are not a teacher. A teacher would explain the rationale behind each choice.
C1-5 A would be correct via the text, but for both A and B you said "McCarthy" not "McCartney".
C1-4, all three are correct. "has been raining" indicates that the rain started a while ago and was still precipitating, "had been raining" indicates that the precipitation had stopped, whereas "it was raining" says precipitation was occurring but with no indication of how long it had been doing so.
There were several times more than one answer would be correct. But it was a cute test...I am a C1...my mother was a grammar teacher. nb
On B2-2 the B response you verbalized as "Yes, I will go TO the doctor's..." whereas the screen text said ""Yes, I will go AT the doctor's" (emphasis added). If one were to listen to you and not notice the discrepancy, they could have chosen B and felt the terrible crushing pain of failure.
I wish I had watch this during my phonology unit... awesome and am learning more thanks
This is my real life not a story . I really miss my mummy

Can I say: They said they have been practising for hours. If yes, is it still reported speech? And similar: The chef said he will be cooking later. Instead of using 'would'. (AI said it is also correct)
Dude, in everyday English(informal English) we don't follow that rule, for example, "I'm doing my homework", would be "he said he's doing his homework". But if you wanna stick to the grammar, it'd be like this " he said he was doing his homework". Hope it helps.
Thanks a million
How about feelings like I'm in love. Will you always use IN for emotions? Can you say I'm in fury right now?
Yeah... i am cooked
My most sincere congrats, great classes. I have a question: is SHALL still used and, if so, when and how is it used? Thank you
Also, why do we use the Present Continuous to talk about an action that will happen next week or next month? This is one of the questions in your English Tenses Test video. Thanks

I recognise my level is B2 but a1:9, a2:9, B1:8, B2:9, c1:9, c2:5 Thanks for giving me confidence And I noticed what I need to learn 😊
I liked this lesson ..you made things much easier and I agree with but in tests it doesnt work, we need the correct vocabulary and grammar .
C2, but besides being British, I have been teaching English to foreign students for over 40 years.
omg, mister i have just watched some of your videos and said to myself: "this person is genius" thank you very much sir, i appreciate it very much !!!
Thank you!
Whether or if is irrelevant. My sentiment is the same either way. I have limited patience for people who don't learn. I have limited patience for people who insist on doing everything the wrong way. I don't care who takes my place as long as I'm not putting up with it.
Wow, this dumb Greg is really a big time nerd. Whole quiz is for Americans only
Hi Greg thank for your video It was very helpful for me.. I'll practice today But I want to be honest with you that the grammar is very hard is something complicated.. Once a person told me if you want to speak English, stop studying grammar.
